Summary: "What a disapointment"
I recorded this program from televison a few months ago and I enjoyed the performances. When it was released on DVD I bought it because I wanted to watch it without commercials. The video looks cheap and the audio is not in 5.1. If I would have known this DVD was so poorly mastered I would have saved my money and continued watching this program from the disc I recorded from the TV.

Summary: "Prefect dvd to relive the experience or give as a gift!"
I bought this as a gift for my mom's bday-she couldn't make it to this year's performance. She loved it-said it was better than even going to the actual concert because she was up close to all the best performances. She told me to make sure i gave it five stars, so everyone would know how good it was. So if you're on the fence, buy it for your moms.
Now only if the next one can be out my Christmas, I'd be SET.

Essence Music Festival 15th Anniversary 2.1 CD/DVD -Missed the '09 essence festival last year, so went out and got the cd/dvd soon as I heard they were putting it out. It definitely didn't disappoint!! John Legend and Beyonce's performances were both AWESOME!! The LIVE DVD is definitely worth the money!!
